Introduction

Relay Star-Z80 Relay Protection Tester is designed for fault troubleshooting and rapid analysis in both smart substations and conventional substations. This series of devices offers a variety of configuration options, including 3-phase, 6-phase, and analog-digital integrated versions.

The optical digital module of the tester is developed in compliance with the IEC 61850 standard, supporting the transmission, reception, and analysis of SV/GOOSE messages. The analog module features high-precision controllable output. As a professional testing device, it is specifically developed for debugging the functions and performance of equipment in smart substations, such as protection relays, measurement and control units, merging units, and intelligent terminals. It also supports the debugging of protection devices with the "analog quantity + GOOSE" scheme.

In addition, the tester is compatible with Beidou, GPS, and IRIG-B code time synchronization and enables multi-device synchronous output.

Protection Function Testing: Supports on-site commissioning and periodic verification for substations (covering general & special tests); processes SMV/FT3 messages (message reception/filtering, waveform/effective value/phase/angle/harmonic analysis) and GOOSE message parsing; tests merging unit parameters (dispersion, time delay, ratio error, angle error).
 
Intelligent Terminal Testing: Tests response time and hard contact-GOOSE/GOOSE-hard contact conversion; automatically constructs MMS objects via user IED data (supports MMS client/server simulation). 
 
High-Precision Output: 6-channel voltage (6U) + 6-channel current (6I) analog quantities, 36 independent digital outputs, realizing synchronous hybrid digital-analog output.
